TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image

Join Us For Our Annual Celebration & Fundraiser, InVISION 2024, on May 18th Sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal!

It’s that time of year! TILT Institute for the Contemporary Image will be holding its annual fundraiser event, InVISION, on May 18th, 2024 at TILT!  After almost a decade, Philly Photo Day is back and we’re excited to plug in and celebrate with our artist community and the city of Philadelphia! Admission provides access to the opening reception of our Philly Photo Day exhibition, drinks, light refreshments, music, and entertainment! InVISION will bring together some of Philly’s favorite creatives, including a fashion show by Prajjè Oscar and a live DJ set by Oluwafemi.

TILT will be posthumously honoring the prestigious American photographer Larry Fink for his contributions to image making and his impact on contemporary photography. His wife, Martha Posner, will be in attendance to accept his award. TILT will also honor Larry Reichlin at InVISION for his continued advocacy of our city’s creative landscape. Larry is a champion of the arts in Philadelphia and a longtime friend and supporter of TILT.

As a nonprofit organization, it’s simply impossible to continue doing the great things we do without your support. All proceeds from InVISION will go towards TILT’s free youth education outreach programs,  discounted classes/workshops, free programming & exhibitions, and artist residencies. Help us continue to support the many artists and creators in our community by purchasing a ticket today! Join us for a good time!

Honoring Larry Reichlin

To say that Larry Reichlin is a magician is twofold. He is, in the literal sense, an accomplished student of the art of magic and he is also the strongest of advocates for the causes he is passionate about; having the ability to – one might even say, magically – guide organizations like TILT to new heights.

Larry has been involved with TILT since its earliest years; as one of the organization’s very first donors, he has been a steadfast supporter since the days when this organization was only as big as a few programs and a space to print work. In 2014, Larry joined our Board of Trustees, and TILT flourished with his help and guidance, adding additional programming and expanding the ability to serve the creative community.

Larry has been a lifelong champion of Philadelphia’s arts institutions, with leadership roles at the University of the Arts and the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania, and as a supporter of The Print Center and The Center for Emerging Visual Artists among others. An enthusiastic photographer himself, Larry has supported a number of photography-related programs and endowed scholarship funds, creating so many opportunities for aspiring artists.

In addition to his passion for the arts, Larry has served as a leadership volunteer for an impressive number of nonprofit organizations throughout the region, including Muhlenberg College, Friends Central School, Eastern State Penitentiary Historical Site and Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. Larry recently stepped back from the Einstein Healthcare Network Board of Trustees after a decades-long tenure of service, including many years as its Board Chair.

We cannot begin to express the level of gratitude we have towards Larry, as a friend and supporter, and TILT is honored to highlight all he has done for our organization.
