Technical support via Google Chat (available through Artist Lab computers) is available during the hours of 10am-6pm.

GETTING STARTED

Starting in 2022, the Artist Lab at Tilt Institute has a new process for working in the Artist Lab.

  1. Please begin by completing the Artist Lab Orientation Form here
  2. All users of the Artist Lab are required to be a Member of TILT Institute. For more information on what type of membership best fits, please see this guide.
  3. A Tilt staff member will be in touch with an access code that you will use to enter the space.
  4. Reservations must be made two business days in advance. You can reserve a time slot here.
  5. Attend your reservation.
  6. Before you leave the Artist Lab, email the quantity and image size of your prints to kyahrling@tiltinstitute.org
  7. You will receive an email from Quickbooks, that will allow you to make a payment online.

When working in the Artist Lab, we expect you to have a working knowledge of the equipment and software that you intend to use and you should have the confidence to work independently.

All printing is done through Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom, so a basic foundation in either of these applications is necessary to work and print in the Artist Lab. If you lack this experience, it is recommended that you schedule a tutorial. You can do so by contacting kyahrling@tiltinstitute.org.
