Understanding the basic principles of photography will help you take better pictures and have more fun! If you are new to photography or want to move beyond shooting in automatic mode to gain more control of your pictures, this class is for you. You will learn about the foundations of photography, including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, lenses, depth of field and more! You will also learn how to use composition, light, color, and tonality to create dynamic images. This class will include hands-on shooting opportunities, assignments to inspire you to improve your new skills, analysis and critique by PPAC’s knowledgeable instructors, and lectures on historical and contemporary artwork. This class is the first step in creating a solid foundation in the medium and taking your images to the next level.
