Contemporary Practices Photography Certificate

Our Contemporary Practices Photography Certificate is a comprehensive program that provides students with a holistic understanding of photographic art practice. Students become adept in lighting, post-production, printing, presentation strategies, history, and criticism. There are options to focus on specific areas including documentary, portraiture, fashion, and much more. With close mentorship from working professionals and support from the TILT faculty, students achieve an opportunity to experiment and challenge themselves through photography.

In order to receive a certificate, students must:

Students may enroll in our certificate program at the beginning of any semester and are evaluated in each course on a pass/fail basis, and have the opportunity to meet with their mentor for a total of 10 hours. Students are required to complete their certificate within a four year period. After completion, students have up to one year to present their final works. The capstone exhibition will be held in our gallery.

Tuition

The certificate program costs $4,995, which includes portfolio reviews with a mentor, academic advising, and assistance with the final exhibition as well as the courses. Tuition can be paid in full or through installments.
