The Echo (2017)
In March of 2017, Shala began working on The Echo, an ethnographic study of the relationship between her and her mother, Ruby Clyde.
The film focuses on the idea of trauma being passed down from generation to generation. The Echo, is a collection of the notes, findings, questions, and answers that often lead to just more questions.
