Zora Murff and Sasha Phyars-Burgess in conversation: “Citizenship”

Knight, Zora Murff

Sasha Phyars-Burgess and Zora Murff continue an ongoing conversation about work and studio practice.  For this Thursday Night Photo Talk, the two artists will speak around the topic of citizenship.

The talk is part of The Learning Exchange, a series of conversations by Zora and Sasha, created for Strange Fire Collective.

Zora J Murff is an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Arkansas. Murff uses photography as a vehicle for exploring histories of American systems, and the role imagery plays in shaping our belief in them. He is also a Co-Curator of Strange Fire Collective, a group of interdisciplinary artists, writers, and curators working to promote and construct an archive of artwork created by women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
