Frankford CDC & PPAC Teen Photo Exhibition

August 18, 2017

Join the Frankford CDC and the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center for a photography exhibition in the CDC’s new gallery space. This exhibition features the work of 8 teens from the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center and Teen Photo program. Teen Photo is a free after school program open to any Philadelphia public high school student and is a transformative experience for each teen who participates. Every student receives 8 months of full, free access to PPAC’s equipment, materials and expert teaching experts as well as a DSLR camera to take home for the entire school year. Together, students share their images and ideas about their lives, building self-confidence as well as technical skills. This selection represents students that live in or near the 19124 zip code. Each offer unique perspectives of their lives as young photographers growing up in Philadelphia.
