For over 6 years, Teen Photo has been inspiring Philadelphia teens as they develop their visual literacy skills and discover new ideas.
I highly recommend Teen Photo to ANY student with even the slightest interest in making photos. I’ve been given so many amazing opportunities through this program, including a fully paid trip to South Dakota to explore different cultures and document it all through photography/photojournalism. You never know what doors will open for you next, and that’s the beauty of it.Inez, a current Delaware Community College student studying photography and studio arts

was a part of Teen Photo program for two years. The program provided me with so much more than just knowledge of photography. I have been exposed to different programs, opportunities, and people, through Teen Photo. They allowed me to use their printing services so that I was able to sell my work. PPAC has given me a chance to show my work in a gallery for the first (and not last) time. I also had an opportunity to display my work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and to be a part of the Young Photographers Alliance Program, where I was offered an internship in a photography studio. Apart from the opportunities Teen Photo exposed me to, I am especially grateful for the amazing mentors who continue to support me until this day, and can say that I would not have gotten this far without them. My background and knowledge of photography will be very beneficial in my future as an architect.Oliwia Paszkowska, a current student at Community College of Philadelphia pursuing architecture
Teen Photo helped me learn how to effectively be a solo artist and mine my ideas with my own vision and style. Not only that, but it taught me to do this all while working within and for your ‘community,’ whether it be a ‘community’ of artists or your neighborhood, city, state, country… The world.Vladimir, a current Community College of Philadelphia student pursuing digital video
